WANT TO DO DIVERSITY TRAINING FOR NSOP? BARNARD BLUE WANTS YOU!
NSOP 2015 is just around the corner (womp senior spring no more NSOP for me…) and the program formerly known as Perspectives on Diversity (that I facilitated for 3 years and *loved*) is getting a revamp to become a part of the Barnard BLUE (building leadership & understanding equity) program! If you want to be on campus for NSOP, talk to impressionable new students about the importance of respecting different identities, work on your public speaking and workshop facilitation skills… think about applying for BLUE!
Apply to be a “Discover Barnard BLUE” (formerly “Perspectives on Diversity”) facilitator for Fall NSOP 2015! Student Life is looking for students who have a passion for social justice and community building. As an NSOP Discover Barnard BLUE facilitator, you will lead a small group of new students in a dynamic discussion around identity exploration and creating an inclusive community at Barnard. As a facilitator, you will be provided with leadership development, social justice education and facilitation training, early move-in, and community with fellow facilitators.
