Hey Q-bies!
We just got an email inviting Q members”/LGBTQ” pals to meet some admitted students to the class of 2019 during the admitted students of colour Pre-Open House.  I was a part of the admitted students of colour weekend many moons ago and remember a lacking representation of LGBTQ students of colour in the event.  Showing up is *really* important here, and if anybody wants to participate I’m going to be there!  We can go in a group!
The Office of Admissions cordially invites you to our first annual Mocktail Hour with admitted students from the Class of 2019 during Pre-Open House for Admitted Students of Color on Saturday, April 18th from 5:00pm-6:30pm.
The Office of Admissions is fully committed to ensuring Barnard remains a vibrantly diverse community. Our Pre-Open House program introduces admitted students of color to students, alums of color, faculty and administrators who will support them during their four years at Barnard. During the Mocktail Hour we would like to introduce them to as many clubs and organizations as possible, especially our cultural clubs. Come represent your club and mix and mingle with prospective students. We know that students who are considering enrolling want to learn about Barnard from students, not the admissions office. We hope you will share your honest opinions with students to help them decide if Barnard is the right place for them!
